Colnago Master 55th Anniversary - style and elegance.
Some years ago, I was very fortunate to meet the styling legend, Massimo Tamburini who created the MV Agusta F4. I asked him, "what were you thoughts behind creating one of the most iconic motorcycles of the age". He turned and looked at me and said, "basically, I wanted to create a motorcycle which is beautiful from every angle with performance to match".
When I first saw the Colnago Master 55th Anniversary model at the London bike show, Massimo's statement came flooding back. Here was a bike which grabbed your attention. It was even quite magical. It just glowed like the jewel of India from the royal crown. People were literally spell bound as they gazed lovingly at this bike. It to was beautiful from every angle. It was a moment I will never forget!
To celebrate their 55th Anniversary, Colnago made an extremely limited edition bicycle called "Master 55th Anniversary". Only ninety nine bikes were made for the worldwide market. This special edition is a true work of art and is highly sought after by Colnago enthusiasts around the globe. With Colnago's legendary trade mark of meticulous attention to detail, this bike is a true masterpiece.
With gold and silver highlights and hand-finished cut- out lugs, the Master combines elegance and style. the Master is paired with the famous Precisa chrome steel fork developed by Ernesto Colnago to improve ride feel and handling of the bicycle. Precisa – Italian for “precise” – describes the straight-bladed fork, and is a distinctive trademark for all Colnago forks which have followed. This model uniquely features a deep gloss black paint on top of jeweller quality nickel plating and with subtle gold accents and embellishments adorning the tubes and stays.
There is no other way to describe the finished article other than stunning. With its special Colnago Master55 head badge and gold leaf signature scroll on the down tube, the overall look is of elegance and style.
I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Norbet (Benny 1 Benny) for the photographs of his stunning Colnago Master 55th Anniversary!
